This class introduces information about drug and alcohol addiction. This course covers:
- What addiction is and how it differs from drug/alcohol abuse
- Summary of treatment approaches from four different perspectives
- Overview of the complete course on drug and alcohol addiction
- Overview of the importance of spiritual approach to recovery
This is an addiction support group, set up to support those who are struggling with addiction in themselves, or their loved one. It meets the on the first and third Saturday of the month and lasts 60 minutes. Everything discussed in the group is confidential and you can join using any screen-name you choose. You can come and just listen or participate once you feel more comfortable.
Intervention using detachment and change-talk as an alternative to "tough-love". This short-course teaches us how to use detachment and change-talk to move toward positive change and addiction recovery.
